The 19th Annual MECSA Maintenance Engineering Conference South Africa will take place on the 23rd March 2010 through to the 26th March 2010 and is registered for 4 CPD credits!  Day 1 (23rd March) is a Pre-Conference workshop on Asset LIfecycle Management: Managing your projects to be structured for more effective maintenance.  Should you attend the workshop only you can claim 1 CPD credit for this workshop. 

Day 2 will feature the chairman, Johan Grobler, Vice President of SAAMA, a keynote address on Asset Management Standards and PAS 55 by Adriaan Scheeres, CEO, Pragma Holdings and one of SAAMA's founder members.  PAS 55 is fast becoming a regulatory requirement in a growing number of industries!  PAS 55 will be discussed in detail during the day.  This is a golden opportunity to increase your knowledge on a clear, internationally recognized definition of what good asset management means!

Day 2 and 3 is registered separately for 2 CPD credits should you only attend the conference.  The SAAMA Annual General Meeting will be held on day 2 after lunch.  All members are invited to attend the AGM.  Please contact our offices if you want to attend the AGM only.  The SAAMA Gala Evening will take place on the 24th March as well.  Interested parties / members can book online by clicking on the SAAMA Events Page!

Day 3 will be chaired by Alan Tait, SAAMA President, and a platter filled with a variety of discussions ranging from Managing your Engineering Documents LIfecycle; Predictive maintenance; Massive savings on earthmoving equipment, Maintenance and repairs through to Skills shortage, just to wet your appetite, is planned for the day.

Day 4 is a post-conference workshop on Energy saving initiatives facilitated by Shaun Nel from NERT PCP Workgroup, also registered separately for 1 CPD credit.  This has been designed to assist those members who cannot attend all four days, but would still like to participate in much needed information.
